Hi, i've got the exact same SONY TV but I had no problem with the HDMI in any resolution (576 through 1080i). Maybe your receiver is faulty. I have a USB problem as you can see above.

I need immediate help because no USB stick of mine will work with the device. I have tested various sizes, filesystems (FAT, FAT32, NTFS) and block sizes (4kb up to 16kb). Nothing works. The device says "NO USB DEVICE". I even tried to upgrade it, but it stops after rebooting to a blue screen, and then boots normally.

A Sony KDL32U2000 tip.LCD tévém hdmi csatlakozója a pár napja vásárolt uj alkor hd 1500 typ szet top box-al nem hajlandó kommunikálni. A DVD lejátszot rendesen érzékeli a TV a HDMI csatolón. A csatlakozást két jóminöségü HDMI kábellel probáltam,de csak a scart-on keresztül hajlandó csatlakozni.
A segitséget elöre is köszönöm. Gábor

@Elias Bats: The issue may be caused by using U3 USB flash drive which the device can not support.
